Question of the Week #10: What is our approach to discipleship?
Discipleship is moving toward Jesus—fueled by His love and propelled by obedience. At Centre Church, we grow as disciples by loving God, loving people, and serving the city in Jesus’ name. This means personal devotion, building relationships, and serving our community. Healthy disciples engage Scripture, obey God, share faith, and live unashamed of Jesus.
Question of the Week #9: What does Centre Church believe about Prophecy?
Centre Church teaches that prophecy is for today — always aligned with Scripture, shared humbly, practiced in community, and used to build up and glorify Jesus.
Question of the Week #8: What is Centre Church’s position on Divine Healing?
"Does God still heal today? At Centre Church we believe He does—through both natural and supernatural means. Healing isn’t always guaranteed this side of eternity, but we trust the God who heals, pray with faith, and celebrate the miracles we’ve already seen."
Question of the Week #7: What is our vision?
We’re celebrating 68 people responding to Jesus just months after launching Centre Church! This isn’t about us — it’s God at work. We’re still praying for 32 more and invite you to join us in seeing lives transformed for His Kingdom.
Question of the Week #6: What is Commission?
Commission is a global family of churches working together to see lives transformed by Jesus. It’s a network of churches that are rooted in Scripture, that are empowered by the Holy Spirit, and are united in mission.
Question of the Week #5: What is the Church’s position on speaking in tongues?
We believe the gift of tongues continues today—both earthly and heavenly languages—primarily directed to God in prayer, praise, and worship, and used to build up the church when interpreted (1 Cor. 14).
Question of the Week #4: What is our approach to small groups?
Our small groups are more than just Bible studies—they're spaces for deep, honest relationships where we grow together in faith, inspired by the Acts 2 model.
Question of the Week #3: Doesn't Red Deer have enough churches?
So the quick answer is this: No, as long as there are people who don’t know Jesus, there are not enough churches yet.
Question of the Week #2: What is the leadership structure of Centre Church?
At Centre Church Red Deer, Jesus is the head, and we’re led by a team of elders, not a single CEO. Our leadership is built on humility, servant hearts, and a commitment to working together. With support from trusted leaders within the global Commission family.
Question of the Week #1: What kind of church is Centre Church?
Centre Church Red Deer is a Word and Spirit church that loves the Bible, welcomes the Holy Spirit and is all about real relationships. We're part of a global church family but fully focused on loving and serving Red Deer with authenticity, connection, and grace.
