Our Winter Clothing Drive is back! It’s an opportunity to share love with our city in practical ways, helping those in need stay warm this winter and creating a space for genuine relationship over a cup of coffee.   • In the Sanctuary:
    Free winter clothing — organized and ready for guests to browse.

    In the Café:
    Free coffee and homemade treats — a warm space for conversation and community.

  • Here’s how you can make a difference:

    • Donate winter clothing at any of our drop-off locations.

    • Volunteer for setup, hosting, sorting, or cleanup (sign up on a Sunday or email us at info@wearecentrechurch.ca - we prioritize our church members but all are welcome as long as there’s space!).

    • Volunteer to bring baked snacks for our café guests.

    • Spread the word — share our event on social media or invite a friend.

    • Pray for those who will be served and those who will serve.

    If you’d like to volunteer, chat to Dave Betts or Katie Taylor — or sign up at church this Sunday.

  • Not at all; everything is completely free, including the coffee (until it runs out!)

  • Yes! We welcome e-transfers to giving@wearecentrechurch.ca. Any donations with a message designating it for the Winter Clothes Drive will be used exclusively for that purpose.

  • Yes. The event will be fully indoors with volunteers present throughout the day. We ask that all guests come clean and respectful to help maintain a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.

  • We’re collecting new or gently used:

    • Winter coats

    • Boots

    • Gloves and mittens

    • Hats and toques

    • Sweaters

    Please note: we cannot accept underwear, t-shirts, pants, or dresses.

    If you’re part of our congregation, consider asking your neighbours for donations too — it’s a great way to spread kindness street by street.

  • Yes! We have a small kids area in the cafe space.

  • Absolutely. We’d love to collaborate with local businesses, churches, and community groups. Whether you’d like to be a drop-off location, sponsor refreshments or care packages, or donate clothing, please contact us at info@wearecentrechurch.ca to discuss how you can get involved.
